Michael Tobin OBE – Patchwork Health

Patchwork Health, the personal solution for the healthcare sector founded by NHS doctors, has welcomed technology entrepreneur and managing director Michael Tobin OBE as chairman of the company.

Tobin is the entrepreneur behind a number of global companies: he coordinated the merger between data center companies Redbus and Telecity, which made Telecity over £ 2 billion worth over £ 2 billion after a new exchange and sale in 2015.

He currently chairs a number of technology companies around the world including Audioboom PLC and BigBlu Broadband PLC, both of which are listed on the AIM market.

Mark Bygraves – Sitigrid

David Richards – RAW Store

David has experience in the automotive industry as the founder and chairman of the motorsport company Prodrive, whose focus in recent years has shifted to developing advanced technology solutions in the automotive, aerospace, marine and defense industries.

David is also currently Chairman of Motorsport UK and has 6 years experience as Chairman of the legendary British sports car maker Aston Martin. David also sits on the Advisory Board of the Cranfield School of Management, chairs the Board of Trustees of the British Racing Drivers’ Club Motor Sport Charity, and is the patron of the Greenpower school initiative.

He was named Commander of the British Empire (CBE) at the Queen’s New Year celebration in 2005 for his services to motorsport and has honorary doctorates and scholarships from the Universities of Wales, Coventry, Warwick and Cranfield.

In 2017 he was inducted into the Motorsport Hall of Fame and awarded the Spirt of Le Mans Award by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). In his early career, David spent eight years as a professional rally co-driver and won the 1981 World Rally Championship while studying to be a chartered accountant alongside his training.

QMetric, the London-based insurtech company that provides home and car insurance under the policy, announced the appointment of Sanchit Suri as Chief Executive Officer, who will take the reins from co-founder Tony Deacon.

QMetric combines a data science approach to risk and pricing backed by a proprietary technology platform to deliver an end-to-end customer journey from pricing to claims. The brand is expected to hit the 1 million live policyholder milestone by the end of 2021.

Sanchit brings 14 years of experience advising (re) insurance and insurtech companies to JP Morgan, where he has held senior positions including managing director since 2019. Upon his appointment, Sanchit will work with Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Adam Powell to guide the business into the next phase of its growth.

Sohail Hanif and Sultan Choudhury – National Zakat Foundation

The London-based Muslim charity National Zakat Foundation (NZF) has announced two new leadership positions. Sohail Hanif is the new CEO, while Trustee Sultan Choudhury has been named Chairman of the Trustee.

Sohail brings his expertise in Islamic law to the table after studying extensively with traditional scholars and doing a PhD from Oxford University. In his professional role, he most recently worked as a BA manager and lecturer at Cambridge Muslim College.

He was previously Head of Research and Development at NZF and will take over the role of CEO on December 1, 2021.

Sohail said, “I am very excited to be joining the NZF team, especially at a time of this growth. I am very much looking forward to working with the talented leadership team and developing the charity over the coming months. “

In addition to this important appointment, Sultan Choudhury OBE also joins the charity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Choudhury brings over 20 years of financial experience to the table, having worked at companies such as Deloitte, Barclays and AI Rayan Bank, where he held senior management, director and executive positions.

In his new role as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Choudhury will lead and direct the board of directors and oversee the strategic direction of the charity.
