London crime: a man’s car was rammed multiple times in a “terrifying” attempted robbery in Edmonton
Police need public help to find two men to speak to after a “terrifying” robbery attempt in north London.
The attempted robbery occurred on Tuesday, March 2, at around 11:20 p.m. in Edmonton, Enfield.
The victim, a man, had stopped his car on Lopen Road when several men approached him trying to gain access to the vehicle.
The man stayed in his vehicle and was able to drive away. But the suspects followed him in another vehicle and, according to the police, rammed his car “several times”.
The man drove to the Edmonton Police Station and reported the incident.
In this case there were no injuries.
Two men, one aged 28 and another 20 years old, have already been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery.
Both were released during the investigation, while the investigation is ongoing.
The police are now releasing pictures of two other men whom they want to identify and trace in connection with the incident.
“Lucky not to have been hurt”
PC Tom Barker of the local police team in North London said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim who was fortunate enough not to have been harmed by such reckless behavior.
“We have conducted a series of investigations to find those responsible and are now asking for public help to find the other men in these pictures.”
