Inflation commentary from the Center for London
Reacting to the latest inflation statistics, Claire Harding, Director of Research at the Center for London, said:
“Inflation is stabilizing but the impact of inflation is still causing major disruption to Londoners.
London has the highest proportion of renters in the country and rents are rising fast even as inflation slows, adding to the country’s already highest cost of living.
London’s businesses will also be affected by persistent inflation – while businesses continue to attract foreign investment, they need government to address London’s housing and transport issues to keep the city an attractive place to live and work.”
